JMC Steel Group is searching for a Senior Applications Analyst.  This person is responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with technology to help internal customers achieve high performance. Position skills are used in SAP process design and configuration, SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment, and/or SAP technical architecture to focus on architecting a solution using SAP to achieve a defined business outcome. Recognized as an expert on one or more application vendors/products.


  1. Consults with users, senior business management, and external contacts to identify and prioritize development and system needs and requirements; develops plans to ensure alignment with department and organizational needs.
  2. Creates and encourages cross-functional relationships.
  3. Plans and manages application assessment and requirement activities.
  4. Assists in defining key capabilities/requirements that will enable customer strategy.
  5. Defines application entrance and exit criteria.
  6. Plans and manages application design and architecture activities.
  7. Creates project deliverable templates and standards (including coding standards, etc).
  8. Creates complex conceptual designs (including application interfaces and interactions)
  9. Plans and manages program-wide application build, test, and deploy activities.
  10. Identifies and monitors interdependencies between various application implementation activities.
  11. Plans and establishes after go-live activities including ongoing application support.
  12. Responsible for special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or management information systems or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with SAP in any of the following areas: AM, BW, CRM, FICO, HR, MM, PLM,PM, PS, PP, QM, SCM, SD, SRM, TPM, WF, ABAP, Netweaver, XI, Archiving, Basis, Portal,MDM, Solution Manager, NWDI, Mobile.
  • 1 year experience in project management.
  • Certification in one or more technology disciplines.
  • In depth experience with IT performance tuning, monitoring tools and planning tools.
  • Requires good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
