Customer Service Representative

The successful customer service representative performs the following duties:

  • Greets customers as they arrive
  • Interviews customers to obtain information regarding needs
  • Explains available financial services such as checking and savings accounts, Certificates of Deposit (CDs), and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
  • Opens new accounts
  • Cross-sells bank products and services
  • Follows proper procedures to verify identity and prevent fraudulent transactions
  • Assists with additional services such as online banking, debit cards, and check orders
  • Answers customer questions and investigates any account discrepancies
  • Acts as liason between customer service and other bank departments
  • Maintains current knowledge of the features and benefits of banking products and services
  • Provides a high level of service to both lobby and telephone customers
  • Complies with all banking rules and regulations
  • Performs other duties as needed
Position Requirements
  • One to three years of previous banking or related experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Spanish speaking abilities preferred
  • Ability to pro-actively ask questions and identify needs
  • Ability to use bank software, programs, and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot to identify problems and resolve service issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Arrives to work on time, as scheduled
  • Must be available to work Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday morning rotation
