Sr Electronic Engineer

Senior Project Engineer responsible for leading Solid State Electrical Center development projects and interfacing with Vehicle OEMs.

  • Develop Delphi Electrical Center (DEC) products with integrated electronics with goal to win business
  • Interface with customer to understand technical requirements and integrate DEC products onto vehicle platforms
  • Assist in the development of customer specific requirements for DEC products and development of test procedures
  • Create customer technical presentations to effectively sell these new products/systems
  • Work with Delphi Marketing to create and show properties for industry and customer events (e.g. SAE Congress)
  • Develop new technologies and designs using Delphi ADP/TDP process as applicable
  • Create circuit schematics and layouts using CAE tools
  • Create specification for electronics and related components
  • Oversee lab evaluation and coordinate validation testing of automotive and commercial vehicle electronic products
  • Develop project plans and timelines
Position Requirements


  • Strong electrical/electronics hardware background with 10+ years’ experience designing electronic products with embedded microcontrollers
  • Ability to design, simulate and test analog, digital, and micro-processor based circuits
  • Knowledge of international and OEM automotive standards
  • Knowledge of embedded control software, software development processes and communication protocols
  • Knowledge of C, C++ compiliers; assembly language programming; debugging, testing and verification techniques
  • Team oriented with experience managing development projects and interfacing globally
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Occasional domestic (est. 4 times / yr) and international (est. 2 times / yr) travel


  • Automotive electronics and communication protocol (e.g. CAN, LIN, J1850, J1939, etc.) experience
  • Experience with ASIC systems, solid state power control and/or DC to DC inverters
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics computer aided design tools
  • Six Sigma Certification
Educational Requirements Bachelor of Science (Master of Science preferred) - Electrical Engineering
