Human Resources Coordinator

  • Coordinate the acquisition and placement of new employees with management/union/outside agencies
  • Manage new hire process, including database, interview process, coordination with medical for drug screening, coordination with security for badge initiation, assessment testing, video review, orientation, etc. and pertinent ongoing documentation
  • Process all requests for transfer, shift preferences, shift balances, leader wages, wage progression requirements, excesses, removal from classification, recall from permanent layoff, maintain documentation and data input
  • Generate and maintain reports for headcount (weekly, monthly, quarterly), special reports as requested by management/union;
  • Generate and maintain reports for regarding transfers, shift preferences, layoffs, etc.
  • Coordinate with medical regarding medical restrictions; participate on the placement team for restrictions; coordinate with labor relations regarding employees removed from their classification; maintain all pertinent documentation regarding these functions.
  • Process contractual wage increases with appropriate personnel (local and corporate)
  • 5th or 6th Level Position, based upon candidate qualifications
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management,  Labor Relations, or related field
  • HR-related experience
