Universal Protection Service is seeking a Staffing Specialist to join our team in our thriving branch office.  As a Staffing Specialist, you will have the ability to play an instrumental role in growing our business by supporting both operations and the recruiting department.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful Security Staffing Specialist candidate will be responsible for screening, interviewing, selecting and hiring the right employees to work at our client locations. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating interviews
  • Maintaining open positions report
  • Management of the applicant tracking system for the branch
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Processing new hire paperwork
  • Conducting new hire orientations weekly

Compensation for this position is $15.00 per hour.

 
Position Requirements

The successful Security Staffing Specialist candidate will meet the minimum requirements as listed below:

  • 1+ years experience in staffing, employment agency or scheduling
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of  MS Office software: Word, Excel and Outlook

Essential Physical and Mental Functions

  • Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones
  • Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
