Associate Buyer 

Description

 Job Summary/Purpose:

The Associate Buyer ensures the necessary medical equipment and supplies are available to support quality patient care by making sure these items are available, stocked and delivered in a timely manner to the patient, Hospice House, team center or wherever the clinician deems necessary.

The Associate Buyer will develop a complete understanding of the following areas:

  • The Par Scan ordering system for inventory and non-stock items
  • Medline Home Delivery system
  • Inventory Replenishment to offsite locations
  • Processes to find, maintain, stock and deliver goods to all established stocking locations

The starting pay range for this position is $15 to $19 per hour. Actual offers of pay will be commensurate with experience.

 
Position Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS (Knowledge, proficiencies and talents needed to be qualified for the position):

1.     Preferred Associates degree or the completion of two years of college with coursework in procurement, business administration, accounting, or related field.

2.     Experience in the purchasing or procurement areas of a large public or private agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience in purchasing or procurement areas.

3.     Valid Ohio Drivers License (Safe driving record)

4.     State Minimum Auto Coverage

5.     Competent in Information Technologies

6.     Competent in scanning (barcode) inventory technology

7.     Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at hand
