Inside Territory Sales Manager

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of our relationship with currently appointed independent agencies employing professional sales techniques over the telephone and internet.  This includes new business development, agency support, product, underwriting and software training, product positioning and all aspects of agency sales to achieve desired production and profit goals.  In addition, the inside sales representative will perform duties associated with the Second Chance DUI and Agency Captive programs.  This position will work closely with management and major accounts managers in the field.    Position will report to Sales Manager for Internal Sales group however, will work very closely with General Manager, Regional Sales Manager and external Territory Sales Manager in the Region TBD.


Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

2+  years of inside sales experience or inside telephone claims experience

Post-secondary education (college or university)

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Organized, self-disciplined and professional in demeanor

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision managing multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced office

Must have a high level of commitment to personally get things done and take personal responsibility for achieving expected results

Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence behavior through proper planning and execution of telephone sales calls   

Must be able to utilize creative problem solving skills to effectively resolve customer issues

Ability to learn and transfer knowledge to others over the phone and using web-based training


Desired Qualifications:

Successful sales or customer service experience in the property & casualty insurance industry
