Description

This position is highly varied, and involves mastery of multiple aspects of mechanical knowledge, a solid background in how oil works, understanding rigid governmental regulation in the field, having service-oriented people skills, and personal meddle.

 

Objective of Position:

Senior Technicians assist with all aspects of setting-up, operating, monitoring and breaking-down of equipment.  When not on the job, the employee may be requested to participate in the service repair and maintenance program. Other duties are to be assigned by the President  & CEO or Project Manager prior to, during, or preceding a Naval-Marine job.

Specific activities include, but are not limited to:

 

        Set-up

  • Unpack Flush and Support Rig boxes
  • Run and hang hoses and power per specifications
  • System assembly
  • Trouble-shoot
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment

        Operations and Monitoring

  • Complete required documentation per specifications
  • Continuous inspection of hoses and equipment for leaks or system anomalies
  • Assist with completion of Quality Assurance packets

        Break-down

  • Packing, which may require the ability to safely lift and carry 75 lbs of material 
  • System disassembly
  • Draining of hoses
  • Clean-up of all supplies, equipment, and fluids in work environment
  • Complete end of job inventory

Repairs and Maintenance

  • Repairing equipment such as pumps, dehydrators, filters, electrostatic precipitators.  Basic plumbing, some electrical, metal fabrication and repair.
  • Standardized maintenance practices before and after each job, to include, but not limited to cleaning and inspecting tools and equipment.
 
Position Requirements

Position requires high-level mechanical aptitude.  Basic computer and math skills are essential.  Team environment obliging strong work ethic, positive attitude, quick-creative thinking, integrity, and detail orientated individuals.

Preferred qualifications include prior knowledge and/or experience with diesel lube oil systems and hydraulics.  

Physical and environmental requirements

Must be able to consistently lift and move 75 lbs.  Must be able to move and function in small-enclosed spaces for extended periods of time. Must be willing and able to travel for extensive periods of time with little notice (up to three weeks).  May be required to work 12+ hours per shift.
