Description

Koniag Information Security Services is hiring an Intelligence Specialist (Science & Technology) to work in the Adelphi, Maryland area. Must have Active Top Secret Clearance to be considered. 

 

This is a direct, full time position with our company, working at the client site and is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Identifies analytical objectives, program or project scope (as it relates to Intelligence and Threat (I&T) support to assigned programs), and emphasis through a broad assessment of customer requirements, division and organizational mission objectives.
  • Identifies Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD cooperative analytical efforts and coordinates when appropriate.  Independently conducts research, performs examination, prepares, coordinates, and disseminates reports and presents briefings addressing the current and projected threat to system survivability or mission effectiveness in support of government and contractor research, development, test, and evaluation. 
  • Explores relevant missions, functions, ongoing program or projects, operations plans, training, and similar activities of the customer(s), and determines which customers' operations and actions need intelligence.  Integrates new/recently received data into relevant data provided to customers and evaluates the relevant available data or potential impact on consumer(s) activities.
  • Develops and enhances organizational Intelligence Studies Program with responsibility for the application of innovative methodologies for the examination, engagement and dissemination of integrated, basic, applied, and advanced scientific, technical and engineering systematic Science and Technology (S&T) intelligence products for the Director, Deputy Directors and other Senior Executive Members and Senior Scientists & Engineers, and Chief, Intelligence and Security (I&S) Division.

Position Requirements

 

Required Experience:

  • Must have active Top Secret (TS/SSBI) security clearance (Polygraph may be required)
  • Good understanding of intelligence analytical methods and sources
  • Familiarity with Foreign Intelligence and Security Services (FISS) use of technology to target, collect and exploit target systems
  • Must have experience using multiple Intelligence Community database search tools and familiarity with intelligence monitoring, collection, targeting and reporting
  • Work experience must include 5 years of experience within the DoD.
  • Must understand networking fundamentals and be able to collaborate and coordinate with technical analysts and policy makers to produce actionable intelligence reports but will not be performing highly technical analysis.
  • Must possess strong on-line intelligence research skills (NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS) and be proficient in MS Office applications
  • Bachelor degree in hard science required. 

 

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years intelligence analysis experience
  • Introductory DNI experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
  • Ability to integrate related data from host network audits, central analysis, and other related sources into investigative or analytical products
  • Joint/International/Multi-Agency Exercise/Experiment Planning Experience or Joint/Service Test and Evaluation experience desired
 
Travel Requirements Up to 25% travel required.  
Security Clearance Must have active Top Secret (TS/SSBI) security clearance (Polygraph may be required)
