Koniag Information Security Services is hiring an Intelligence Specialist (Intelligence and Threat Support (I&TS) to work in the Adelphi, Maryland area. Must have Active Top Secret Clearance to be considered. 

This is a direct, full time position with our company, working at the client site and is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies I&TS analytical objectives, program or project scope and emphasis through a broad assessment of customer requirements, division and organizational mission objectives.
  • Identifies Intelligence Community (IC), DoD, and coordinates cooperative I&TS analytical efforts when appropriate. Actively participates in program or project integrated product teams, threat coordinating groups (member), and other formal and ad hoc associations in order to stay abreast of supported program/project developments, to ensure timely and effective resolution of threat and other intelligence issues, and to solicit or refine customer's I&TS requirements.
  • Evaluates and disseminates resulting I&TS products, and gleans information from these products in I&TS studies, summaries, reports and briefings.
  • Coordinates foreign material acquisition/exploitation requirements.  
  • Identifies type of intelligence/threat  data required to support customer activities and determines available intelligence/threat information from internal and external sources and conducts research of available data and extracts data relevant to the customer's needs. 
  • Develops projections of threat organizations and threat systems employment for use in scenarios, models, and testing.  Leads ad hoc test support element that operates threat systems in conformance with threat force doctrine and tactics. 
  • Develops, manages, and maintains intelligence and threat data base(s). 
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of non-intelligence programs or projects such as the Concept Based Requirements System, training and training developments, test and evaluation, and scenario development, as examples.
Position Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must have active Top Secret (TS/SSBI) security clearance (Polygraph may be required).
  • Good understanding of intelligence analytical methods and sources.
  • Familiarity with Foreign Intelligence and Security Services (FISS) use of technology to target, collect and exploit target systems.
  • Must have experience using multiple Intelligence Community database search tools and familiarity with intelligence monitoring, collection, targeting and reporting.
  • Must have working familiarity with Intelligence Community management of information, classification, dissemination and information and records system.
  • Work experience must include 5 years of experience within the DoD.
  • Experience with critical thinking, advanced research, and problem-solving experiences.
  • Must understand networking fundamentals and be able to collaborate and coordinate with technical analysts and policy makers to produce actionable intelligence reports but will not be performing highly technical analysis.
  • Must possess strong on-line intelligence research skills (NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS) and be proficient in MS Office applications

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years intelligence analysis experience.
  • Introductory DNI experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.
