Position Business Generation Consultant  
Location NY, Albany  

The business generation team brings a unique premium generation opportunity to the AmTrust sales organization. This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with agents. Candidates must be outgoing and enjoy cultivating new relationships over the phone. Additionally, these positions require candidates who are highly motivated with excellent follow-up and organizations skills. The BG Team will have three distinct areas of focus:

Specific New Business Duties Include:

  • Run Submission Report Macro weekly to identify quoted and no disposition opportunities
  • Follow up on quoted business
  • Follow up on business entered but not submitted
  • Cross-sell other relevant product lines, i.e. Inland Marine, Auto, Auto Service Plus, BOP
  • Track and record follow up activities in Salesforce

 Specific Renewal Business Duties Include:

  • Run Renewal Log Report weekly
  • Follow up on quoted business
  • Cross-sell other relevant product lines when following up on renewal business
  • Communicate with Underwriter
  • Track and record follow up activities in Salesforce

Specific Direct Marketing Duties Include:

  • Calling customers to introduce new product lines
    • Obtain policy effective dates on targeted lines
    • Track and record follow up activities in Salesforce
    • Send sales collateral to agency following conversations
  • Customer prospecting
    • Contact customers in targeted product lines to obtain policy and agent information
    • Contact agent (appointed or not) to discuss opportunities

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with agents
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
