Network Engineer / Systems Administrator 


The Server & Network Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the various servers and network equipment.



  • Account creation, share directories, permissions
  • Day-to-day server and network administration
  • Troubleshoot server and network problems
  • Daily server backup
  • Assist with new IT projects
  • Document, develop and improve standard operating procedures
  • Serve as 3rd level support for desktop trouble tickets
  • Perform monthly maintenance during the Saturday 6 PM to Midnight maintenance window
  • Carry a phone 24x7 and participate in on-call rotation with a 20 min response & 60 min ready to work SLA
  • Other tasks as delegated by IT Operations Supervisor


The incumbent’s performance will be assessed on:

  • SLA for response times
  • Server and network uptime
  • Ability and efficiency in accurately troubleshooting server and network problems



Position Requirements




  • 3+ years supporting Windows Server 2008/2012 in an Enterprise environment
  • Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, SMTP)
  • Proficiency with Active Directory management / maintenance
  • I/O subsystems and RAID
  • Experience supporting 24x7 systems
  • 3+ years in server and network administration managing servers, network operating systems, server-based applications
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
