Marketing Coordinator 

Reports To Senior Vice President  
Supervise n/a  

Provide firm-wide marketing and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.  The Marketing Coordinator will have hands-on involvement in Ascende marketing initiatives, branding, event planning and public relations.  The Marketing Coordinator must have sound organizational and communication skills, a capacity to learn through experience, and a strong commitment to meet agreed upon timeframes and deadlines.


  • Assist in coordinating all details, logistics and collateral for company marketing events, trade shows, exhibitions, speaking engagements, or seminars
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and meetings, including developing itineraries and agendas, booking other transportation, arrange lodging and meeting accommodations
  • Maintain firm-wide marketing calendar and research new marketing ideas as they are generated
  • Manage and update marketing content in CRM and create reports and metrics as necessary
  • Conduct pipeline research through various outlets (online, phone, etc.) and identify qualified leads
  • Assist in writing, tracking and distribution of press releases and other external correspondence or mailings
  • Research appropriate industry publications and media outlets and assist in the regular publishing of Ascende employee created content
  • Coordinate the design and placement of any advertising campaigns
  • Update and monitor social media as it relates to Ascende marketing efforts
  • Assist in development of marketing literature, ensuring consistent and accurate branding
  • Research and partner with appropriate external vendors as necessary
  • Schedule meetings and appointments (on and off-site) including conference rooms
  • Receive, assist where possible, and coordinate visitors
  • Create documents, including presentations, spreadsheets, memos, etc.
  • Handle confidential information
  • Document time in Tool Time as appropriate
  • Maintain key documents and data in Documentum
  • Perform special projects as assigned
Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational training or business experience
3-5 years of experience providing marketing and administrative support in a professional services environment

KSA's (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (Advanced in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel)
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience, ExactTarget and Broadlook
  • Familiar with AP style
  • Able to effectively interface with internal and external customers
  • Able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion
  • Able to understand business principles and apply them accordingly
  • Able to work independently and on a team within a fast-paced environment
  • Career-focused
  • Demonstrate good judgment while managing projects, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines with a sense of urgency

Special Requirements:
