Boat Operator

The Boat Operator will safely perform a specific, specialized job for the customer.  Operator of vessel during any and all work operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Comply with all EQ Management System policies and procedures
  • Vessel inspections and condition
  • Recording all time and activities in Marine Department log book and customer boom logs
  • Responsible for overall safety of vessel and crew
  • Final quality of the job
  • Water blasting, vacuum technician work, marine work, confined space entry, spill response and industrial maintenance
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by manager related to Marine
  • Train other individual to become boat operator


Position Requirements • Ability to secure a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interface with customers
• High level of attention to detail related to all responsibilities performed
• Able to work extended hours, including night shift, weekend work, and on-call hours
• Physically able to wear personal protective equipment when necessary
• Able to perform physical aspects of job, such as lifting and climbing
