The Sanitiation Worker's accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the cleanliness of the office, laboratory, rest rooms, hallways, cafeterias, conference rooms

Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff floors throughout plant

Clean/dust air conditioning vent covers in all office areas, cafeteria, and restrooms

Operate trash compactor Operate floor buffer Operate cardboard baler

Clean windows, doors, ledges, baseboards, floor- wall junctions

Follow a daily work sheet
-
Follow master cleaning schedule
-
Assist Sanitation Supervisor with other tasks as required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus one to three months related experience and/or training. The following skills are required:
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to other employees or customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers , common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Estimate size, form, quality or quantity of objects and speed of moving objects. Use measuring devices such as tapes, gauges and weight scales, micrometers, calibrated steel tapes and calipers.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with situations involving several variables. Observe and read instruments, gauges, dials, etc. to determine operating conditions. Inspect, examine and observe for obvious product or equipment defects not easily identified. Assemble or disassemble objects. Make equipment adjustments to obtain specified operating conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently stand, regularly walk, kneel, lift, carry, push or pull 100 lb. or more. The employee will occasionally sit, crouch, crawl, bend at the waist, twist/ turn, climb ladder and stairs, and taste or smell, This job requires occasional repetitive and or finger motions. Additionally, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception ad ability to adjust focus are required to perform this job. |
