Business Office Manager - Long Term Care Facility

Pebble Creek Nursing Home is currently recruiting an experienced professional to lead our Business Office team!

The position of Business Office Manager provides leadership, direction and education relating to the Accounts Receivable billing and collections process within the facility. This position must function as a financial team leader, working closely with other business office staff and the facility Executive Director. The Business Office Manager is responsible for the timely billing and collections of various payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, Hospice, and Managed Care. The position is also responsible or ensuring an accurate census, accounting and capturing for all facility revenues.

The ideal candidate for the Business Office Manager position will have an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting, and a minimum of 4 years A/R  and collections experience in a long term care facility. Qualified candidates must possess complete knowledge of Long Term Care Ohio Medicaid, knowledge of Medicare billing in nursing homes, and full knowledge of the nursing home revenue cycle. Knowledge and understanding of cash collections measurements, DSO goals, and bad debt calculations are a must. The Business Office Manager must have strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

The Business Office Manager works 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, in a great, team environment! Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the facility; weekend on-call rotation required. Position Requirements
  • MUST have previous A/R and collections experience in a Long Term Care facility.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Knowledge of Long Term Care Ohio Medicaid
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing in nursing homes
  • Knowledge of the nursing home revenue cycle
  • Knowledge and understanding of cash collections measurements, DSO goals, and bad debt calculations
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computers and office machines.
