Are you an energetic professional with previous sales/marketing and Long Term Care experience?

Hanover House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking the right professional individual to fill the full time position of Admissions Director.

The Admissions Director assists the Marketing Director in developing census and providing external and internal support throughout the admissions process. The successful candidate for the Admissions Director position must have previous sales/marketing experience and Long Term Care experience. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, initiative, and a thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and long term care are needed for this position.  This position must work flexible hours.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain admissions packets
  • Meet with resident and/or responsible party on day of admission to explain and discuss admission procedures, policies of the center, charges
  • Obtain signatures on appropriate documents according to the center's admission policies and procedures
  • Give tours of the center
  • Handle all daily admission calls to the center and follow up on inquiries made after hours
  • Follow up on all referrals daily to check current status
  • Follow up on admissions concerns from residents, family and staff
  • Complete referral tracking worksheets

Position Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
  • Previous sales/marketing experience
  • Previous experience in Long Term Care
  • This position must work flexible hours
  • Must have excellent communication skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must have thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicare and Managed Care and VA requirements and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with team members, other staff, residents, and family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
