Position Requirements


  • 1+ years experience desired, but not required
  • Professional demeanor and image
  • Computer, Microsoft Office Skills and Office Equipment Skills

  • Greets visitors with professionalism and hospitality.
  • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate person or voicemail (per caller’s request) if the staff member is not available.
  • Takes and retrieves messages for various staff.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, fax number and driving directions.
  • Receives; sorts and forwards incoming mail.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving and stocking supplies.
  • Must keep the reception area, copy area, supply room and break room clean and organized.
  • Clean out refrigerator every Friday.
  • Data entry and other project work including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, filing and collating as needed.


  • Reception area is clean, professional and organized: All day
  • Answering phones: When at the reception desk, phone should be answered by the third (3rd) ring. Transfer caller to voicemail with prior consent.
  • Taking messages: Always include name, number where caller can be reached, document brief message and time of call.
  • Physical characteristics of the position: Position is considered sedentary and no unusual physical requirements are necessary to perform daily tasks. Position duties may require incumbents to lift, carry heavy objects (up to 20 lbs) on a non-routine daily basis.
