Share Email Opening Title Service Engineer - NY/PA/OH  Description The Service Engineer will serve as the technical support person for the District Sales Manager in corporate accounts and independent chemical managers and other accounts designated by the District Sales Manager. The Service Engineer will be the first line of defense on problems within a DSM territory and will then direct the appropriate home office resource to help resolve the customer's problem. The position requires travel in New York, Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio.  Important responsibilities: * Collect samples and data from corporate accounts and develop sales with distributors when directed by the District Sales Manager. * Collect baseline data for testing against competitors, cost justifications, and other data that may be necessary * Conduct short technical seminars * Conduct basic training and customer specific training for maintenance, operators, and management as well as distributor training. * Will be trained and have the ability to audit the regional laboratory and run tests as necessary * Clean and supervise the cleaning of machines designated for testing of new accounts, maintaining business at existing accounts and WB test sites * Supervise the testing of competitive and Master Chemical products * Troubleshoot fluid problems   Position Requirements Minimum education requirement is an Associate's degree from a technical college or junior college which included chemistry course work, or the equivalent. Must have at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machining processes. Must understand the sales process. Must have the ability to travel extensively (overnight travel included). Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.   Relocation There is no relocation package for this position.   Travel This position requires extensive travel (overnight travel included).   Salary Range Salary based on experience + 7.5% bonus potential   About the Organization Master Fluid Solutions is a well-established, international chemical company in the metalworking industry, offering fully competitive benefits and a matching 401(k).
