We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to become the newest member of our Team.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the marketing manager, the marketing specialist will serve as an integral member of the marketing team. This position will be responsible for supporting Bassett’s marketing strategy by working across all business units (Mechanical Contracting, Metal Fabrication, and Service) to produce high-quality marketing analytics and will meet with stakeholders to assess marketing needs and opportunities, conduct research, recommend strategy and produce marketing deliverables.

Position Responsibilities

Primary responsibility of this position is to:

  • Coordinate effective marketing campaigns, working with search engine optimization (SEO) and pay per click (PPC) tools, and segmenting customer lists utilizing Bassett’s CRM platform.
  • Assist in gathering performance metrics relating to digital marketing activities including, but not limited to, website analytics, social media metrics, and e-mail statistics and reporting of performance data to key stakeholders.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to track marketing activity and results.
  • Performs audits and maintains data integrity of CRM platform for all business units (Mechanical Contracting, Metal Fabrication, and Service).

With direction from the marketing manager, this position would:

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research on behalf of all business units (Mechanical Contracting, Metal Fabrication, and Service).
  • Platform business and trend analysis to gather competitor assessment and market opportunities using defined hypothesis to estimate market shares, growth opportunities, and competitive advantages in the marketplace.
  • Responsible for continuous monitoring, analyzing, synthesizing and documenting of market, customer, and competitive insight. Insight will be used to create and make changes to strategies and annual marketing plans including:
    • Documenting information via the CRM platform.
    • Ensuring effective and efficient data gathering and insight through proactive team approach.
  • Organize communication with sales via grassroots market research to predict industry trends, end-user needs, as well as market demand changes.
  • Manage information sources and network with industry experts and analysts.

In collaboration with the marketing communications specialist:

  • Develop marketing campaigns and promotions for press releases, direct mail, email blasts, social media, trade shows, sales collateral, press releases, case studies, white papers, company blog(s), executive bios, corporate newsletter content, and presentations.
  • Edit, proofread, and revise communications
  • Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements

Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study.

  • 2-4 years of experience

  • Exceptional Excel skills (VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, reports and analyze data, etc.)

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM experience, Net Promoter, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and WordPress experience preferred
  • Some local travel outside of business hours may be required
