Manager Data Analytics

The Manager Data Analytics defines and executes the analytics that will help uncover how we market more effectively to our customer base. This position requires a leader with proven expertise in statistical modeling and data mining.  In addition, as a key player on the team responsible for forecasting and customer analytics, you must be comfortable translating corporate goals into a course of strategic investigation, leading cross-group projects to compile and mine the data, and taking the initiative to explore and apply multiple approaches to find answers for critical questions facing the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage statistical modeling and data mining projects
  • Supervise and mentor team of analysts
  • Communicate statistical analysis findings to non-technically trained audiences
  • Describe technique, limitations, tradeoff risks, and opportunities to enhance analyses
  • Determine appropriate approach to meet the needs of various statistical inquiries
  • Knowledge of when and how to apply multivariate regression, logistic regression, neural networks, decision tree analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, multi-dimensional scaling, conjoint analysis
  • Experience managing large data extraction and manipulation
  • Able to write MS SQL and use SPSS or other statistical software
  • Develop advanced analytical processes to support customer retention improvements
  • Identify behaviors and events affecting defection/loyalty rates and assist in the design and analytical support of programs to drive desired behaviors
  • Conduct trial analysis & CRM data mining
  • Build predictive models comparing various statistical methods, implementing the most appropriate approach for the campaign
  • Assist in test and control design and post-trial analysis
  • Customer Lifetime Value - Leverage CLV scoring to develop retention initiatives optimizing investment required to increase subscriber retention and loyalty
  • Perform behavioral segmentation based on usage
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline, Master’s degree or higher preferred
  • 3+ years of experience developing statistical targeting models, manager role preferred
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
