This is a 3month contract ot Hire position

Monday-Friday 1st shift

 

We are seeking for a motivated candidate to fill the position of computer technician support. The technician will be required to serve corporate clients both diverse and constantly growing. He or She will be part of our customer’s organization in order to perform various operations with our clients and keep track of support requests. The technician will also be required to provide the second level support as part of their duties.
Responsibilities:
•       Provide necessary expertise to our clients to help support their IT infrastructure.
•       Perform installation, support and equipment configuration.
•       Support users in regards to equipment issues.
•       Prepare the necessary documentation needed to establish a history of interventions.
•       Ensure reception and capture of calls and service requests and incidents as well as establish an initial diagnosis / resolution.
•       Route calls and service requests to various groups (internal and external) when required.
•       Follow-up on calls and service requests until complete resolution and monitoring as well as closure of the requests to users who are employees of our clients.
•       Identify and document recurring problems and / or major issues in order to recommend best practices in correcting these problems.
•       Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization by adopting a proactive attitude that can exceed the expectations of our customers.
General criteria:
•       Good knowledge of different families of products for Windows desktop and Office (including Outlook), equipment (computers, printers, etc.). Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems is an asset.
•       Required skills in teamwork, being dynamic, autonomous and to be resourceful.
•       Sharp sense of analysis and synthesis.
•       Demonstrate a high adaptability to people and environments.
•       Ability to diagnose effectively and concisely.
•       Good listener.
•       Demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
•       Patience and ability to work in environments with strong changes.
•       DES, combined with AEC or DEC computer or networking or equivalent experience.
•       Relevant experience in customer service is an asset.
•       Available to work on a flexible schedule of during the day, evening, on weekdays and weekends as well as being on call.
 

 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

·           2+ years experience in an IT environment

·         Proficient use of Microsoft applications, wireless connectivity, proprietary applications,     basic palm applications, networking

·         Exposure to software and hardware support

·         Excellent customer service skills
