Description

Support staff for Windows 7 Upgrade......  Project 1 to 3 months. Potential for conversion to full-time PCM employee should the client like the field engineer's performance.

Primary work location is Newark NJ, but candidate should be comfortable working at either location.

Requirements:
Education: AS or AA in Computer Science; Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience, and formal training multiple products.


Experience: 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience and/or equivalent in hardware/software problem diagnosis and repair


Abilities:
a)      assist in and resolve problems referred by the second level help desk;
b)      possess an in-depth understanding of multiple product specific software and operating systems;
c)      prioritize and manage own workload;
d)      courteous, helpful and tactful in all communications;
e)      assist and instruct customer in the use of his/her End-User Machine/Software;
f)      detect and correct End-User Machine/Software errors;
g)      requires minimal technical support and assistance and often provides technical support;
h)      possess in-depth knowledge of the End-User environment.
i)      perform basic network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems;
j)      provide basic installs, moves, adds and changes;
k)      make appropriate use of technical documentation, specialized test equipment and diagnostic aids in resolving complex technical problems;
l)      possess an in-depth understanding of communications and network applications;
m)      apply a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving and have in-depth mechanical mastery;

 
Position Requirements

Experience/Specifications:
• 2-5 years Computer Systems experience

Other experience/skills that would be beneficial would be:

Windows XP Pro/ Windows 7

Office 2003/2010

Outlook 2003/2010

Imaging with SMS/SCCM

Remote Support of End Users

Active Directory Computer and Users

Hardware Break/fix: Computers and Laptops

Major Service Ticket System
