Description

Position:  Warehouse Supervisor

Directs the efficient and cost-effective operation of the distribution center.  Supervises either inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management, and claims; or, supervises the outbound activities related to order-filling, stock replenishment, shipping. Responsible for customer service, quality and equipment operation.  Administers hourly personnel timecards, attendance, quality, productivity, accuracy, and loss prevention issues to ensure that customer requirements are met.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Schedules and deadlines are adhered to.

2. Communicate & Implement change as directed.

3. Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.

4. Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, and audits of same to verify results.  Must be extremely detail oriented.

5. Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrate high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.

6. Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.

7. Experience working within policies & procedures, and understanding of compliance, in relation to regulatory bodies’ legislation.

8. Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel

2.     Experience with the implementation of a warehouse management system.  

3.     Excellent oral and written communication skills.

4.     Must be hands on contributor proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

 

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

·           2+ years experience in an IT environment

·         Proficient use of Microsoft applications, wireless connectivity, proprietary applications,     basic palm applications, networking

·         Exposure to software and hardware support

·         Excellent customer service skills
