Position: Desktop Field Service Technician

Responsibilities:

  •  Establish a support environment that supports technical issues, incidents, and requests received by the Service Desk.
  • Provide Level 2 Desktop Support that is a combination of customer service and advanced technical skill sets needed to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Provide Desk-side support to end users during “normal” business hours.
  • Receive incidents from the Service Desk, as well as from “walk-up” end users within the Montreal location.
  • Provide timely follow-up and status to employees on incidents not resolved immediately.
  • Provide all Asset Management activities such as receiving equipment, tagging assets prior to deployment, managing the inventory, performing periodic audits and controlling the asset management process
  • Escalate and manage service requests according to defined company policies and procedure.

 

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Able to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Must be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Operates well in a fast paced/high stress environment.
  • Functional knowledge using and troubleshooting Windows XP/7 Operating System, Microsoft Office 2007/2010, Internet, printer, core applications and networks.
  • Solid hardware and software trouble-shooting/resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to navigate and troubleshoot desktop issues in a locked down environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Organized and detailed communication with excellent people skills.
  • Experience with client escalation and problem management.
  • Scripting Experience.
  • Microsoft Desktop Support Certifications.
  • 2-4 years Desktop Support Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates should have a large scale enterprise support experience.
