Description Job Summary:
Part of a team of PCM Project Managers who will be used primarily in the Los Angeles area. Home base will be in our El Segundo office.
Demonstrates an understanding of customer s tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques. Actively manages the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan. Establishes basic scope control procedures. Develops documentation; monitors and reports project status; assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation. Initiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects; gathers input and feedback. Analyzes and reports project status and research information; monitors project performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content. Effectively assists in directing both internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines. Responds to operational issues and RFI s within defined areas of responsibility while progressing on project work. Collaborates and communicates with other project managers and leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities. Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation.
Position Requirements Essential Duties:
Defines and manages the scope of work for each individual project
Develops and manages the critical path of projects and project master schedule
Interviews and places resources based on skill sets to complete defined tasks
Manages within the budget of the project including controlling scope creep, additions, progress delays, etc.
Reports and manages staff productivity
Participates in forecasting and planning sessions
Responsible for deliverables associated with managing projects at SARCOM such as: a project plan, communication plan, project charter, and a scope statement
Manages the project team for each individual project
Counsels and coaches employees on improving performance and career advancement
Handles all escalated client issues and works with the client and team members to achieve resolution
Assist sales with selling of projects
Give customer presentations on project status

Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 -7 years Project Management experience in Information Technology Field; experience managing operational functions.

Additional Information:
Prefer PMP candidate.
Must have a “time critical” mentality.
Very good at giving presentations.
