Job Summary:

The account manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability throughout the assigned territory.

 Essential Duties:

  • The Account Manager will drive revenue growth and profitability by identifying key customer initiatives, finding current and proposed programs and developing relationships at all levels of the assigned agencies. 
  • In addition the AM should have thorough knowledge of his or her counterpart(s) at as many of our partners as possible. 
  • The AM should function as a strong team coordinator with his or her Inside Rep. (Field AMs have an incredible support team that allows them to go out and be in front of the customer selling). 
 

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience selling technology solutions to the Federal Government. Sales to the DOD are a must. Candidates need to have experience managing relationships with DOD; however experience working with any Federal Agencies is welcome.
  • We are looking for candidates who are currently selling eProcurement, systems and peripherals, enterprise servers and storage, networking, security, software licensing and software solutions to the Federal Government.
  • Experience working for a Federal VAR (Value Added Reseller) or Systems Integrator.
  • Demonstrated successful Quota attainment over multiple years is a must.
  • Experience with Managed and Professionals Services are a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Information Technology Market preferred.
  • I.T. hardware and software product knowledge is a must.
  • Reside in the General Washington DC or Virginia area.  Northern Virginia area preferred. We would also consider someone in Maryland.
  • Self Motivated, Hungry Self Starter, Enthusiastic, Goal-Oriented, and Success Driven.
  • Negotiation and Organizational Skills
