Description

Basic Function: Performs limited teller duties conducted under the supervision of the Teller Supervisor.

Primary Duties: Cashes and deposits checks for members in accordance with operating procedures of the Credit Union, disburses cash by withdrawals after obtaining proper identification. Takes payments and transfers as requested by members. Cross sells all credit union services, answers phone and assists members with any questions they may have about member services. Balances cash drawer daily. Changes addresses as requested by the member. Responsible for the security of their own negotiables until signed over to the proper designated employee.

Secondary Duties: Must have the ability to work where assigned (branch office, drive-thru, lobby, etc.) Under the direction of the head teller, operates coin counter and post night deposits. Performs other duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

Experience: No previous experience required, although previous work in a money-handling or cashier-type job is desirable.

Academic: High School student enrolled in DECCA or similar program is preferred. Must be in good academic standing and no disciplinary record at school.

Equipment: Personal computer, basic office equipment.

Personal: Friendly, outgoing individual who is attentive, neat and has good communication skills. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Physical: While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include ability to lift heavy bags of coin, to stand on feet for long periods of time and to operate standard teller equipment. Some lifting not to exceed 25 lbs.

 
Tags *Applicants will work at the school in the morning and during lunch and at a local Branch after school. **Applicants must be a Junior or Senior at the beginning of the school year for August 2015 to be considered. ***A letter of recommendation from an Administrator or Teacher may be substituted for experience, if you have no work history. ****Applicants must have dependable transportation.  
Probationary Period for this Position 90-Day Probationary Period, Unless Extended  
Reports To Teller Supervisor and/or Branch Manager
