This is a training position.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander.
Ability to use measuring tools such as: tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.
Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
Identifies different types and thicknesses of material to be processed. Checks material P.O. number to material log and work router.
Reviews setup sheet, work order and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece.
Ability to read and interpret provided part prints and supplied specifications.
Deburs parts as needed.
Packages product per specifications.
Downloads program files into the machine controller from the program network.
Manipulates controls and enters commands to index the laser to specified set point and to start machine.
Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions.
Do minor electronic and optical checks.
Performs first-piece inspection on workpiece for conformance to specifications.
Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
Adjusts machine feed and speed to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
Records process used to run special set/ups on brown production packet and/or online GUI system
Cleans and organizes work area.
Operates forktruck and jib crane to move raw material and finished product.
