Senior Process Engineer
This will be a cross-border postion for our operation in Matamoros Mexico
Assesses process capabilities, innovates and implements process improvements on key projects with divisional impact
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation
Develop and maintains qualified injection molding production lines
Train and/or provide work direction to technicians, and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation
Participate in concept review and development on new injection-molded products and tooling. Provide input and alternatives during part design reviews in order to improve manufacturability of the final design
Ensures validation documentation and manufacturing processes meet all Quality system requirements
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements
Identify initiatives to reduce or contain cost, improve material flow, evaluate capacity and manage continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned by manager
Occasional travel to offshore locations may be required up to 25%
7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years of high-volume injection molding and assembly process engineering experience.
RJG Master Molder 2 preferred
Working knowledge of hydraulic and electric molding machines required
Thorough knowledge of in-mold pressure transducers and their application preferred
Basic knowledge and skill in using Statistical Process Control and knowledge and skill in utilizing blueprints and specifications is required
Must have knowledge of injection molding manufacturing – high tonnage molding machines
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
B.S. in plastics engineering, polymer engineering, electrical, chemical, manufacturing or industrial engineering
