JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify labor content and develop standardized work to support the assembly process
  • Develop lean cell layouts,  material flow plans and material presentation for the assembly process
  • Identify tools and equipment required to support the assembly process
  • Perform ergonomic assessments on assembly methods
  • Support implementation of the cell, equipment and tooling
  • Train production employees for start-up and ramp-up
  • Support continuous improvement activities

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED/PREFERRED)

REQUIRED:

  • Work experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and Operations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project
  • Experience with AutoCad

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of cockpit, instrument panel,  and headliner assembly
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

 

EDUCATION:

  • B.S. Engineering (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering)

Certified Ergonomist is considered an asset.

 

 

Position Requirements REQUIRED:
- Work experience in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Knowledge on MSD processes
- Leadership skills to conduct workshops and drive lean manufacturing.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with manufacturing processes and equipment
- Familiar with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project
- Ability to be at our manufacturing sites for a week or two at a time
- Have or can get a passport and FM3 for work in Mexico
PREFERRED:
- Operations experience
- Knowledge of ergo assessments
- Knowledge of instrument panel assembly
- Experience with computer simulation software Quest or Witness
