Planning and Logistics Manager 


Leads Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and 3rd Party Manufacturing contract requirements for the business.  Provides organizational expertise in the utilization of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.


  • Directs the Sales & Operations Planning process.

  • Leads Supply Management and Forecasting processes by working closely with Sales and Marketing to establish demand plan and appropriate supply plan

  • Integrates Production and Material Plans with the Business Plan to ensure achievement of business objectives.

  • Develops and leads execution of Inventory Management strategies which ensure adequate material availability to meet service level targets and also meet organizational net working capital goals.


  • Establishes and executes overall Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics strategy.

  • Oversees activities related to the movement of material through all internal and external warehouses as well as through 3rd Party manufacturers.

  • Leads Sustainability initiatives.

3rd Party Manufacturing

  • Identifies viable 3rd Party manufacturers and/or packagers and negotiates associated contracts. 

  • Directs the processing of orders through 3rd party manufacturing while meeting customer time tables.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

  • Provides organizational expertise on ERP system.

  • Identifies, implements, and documents ERP system best practices.

  • Ensures ERP system data integrity.

  • Coaches & trains personnel on optimal ERP system use.

Other Duties

  • Represents Supply Chain perspective and support on various support teams.

  • Identifies and implements improvements for cost, working capital, and service.

  • Approves stocking requirements on all customer requested finished goods and raw materials.

  • Manage inventory obsolescence and approves the disposal of expired and surplus materials.

Monitor scientific and technical developments, industry codes of practice, and relevant legislation applicable to the country of raw material supply, production and finished good destination.

Position Requirements

BS/BA required; preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Management
MBA a plus
5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
5+ years inventory management and planning experience
5+ years experience in Systems: order processing, ERP platforms, scheduling, forecasting, and Microsoft tools necessary
APICS Certification is desirable
