Global Communications Associate 


Support Griffith global communications efforts including the development and execution of all strategic and tactical integrated internal and external global brand communications (verbal and written brand communications portfolio, website, portal, Social media, training, etc.).  Support the growth and optimization of global communications platform for Griffith Laboratories aligned with brand positioning, business and market needs.

Position Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, with support from agencies and graphic designers, global company literature and other forms of written and electronic communication aligned with the brand positioning (e.g. templates, brochures, videos, presentations) 
  • Communicate/train regional communication representatives as to use and conformance of brand standards and global communication materials aligned with the brand positioning.  Monitor use of information and provide feedback and assistance where required.
  • Facilitate the transition and distribution of global communications collateral to all Griffith units.
  • Coordinate the trafficking of products and materials needed for photography.  Lead coordination and execution of photography sessions on an annual basis.
  • Manage design and upkeep of the Global communications toolkit on the Griffith portal ensuring information is updated and accessible to all global Griffith employees.
  • Create marketing and promotional collateral, both print and electronic, focused on specific topics for the Griffith global organization.
  • Work with agencies and advertisers for development of global ads and their timely and effective ad submissions.
  • Develop, copyedit, proofread and revise targeted written and online communications (website, portal, literature, etc.)
  • Manage overall Griffith global website, recommend optimizations, implement and maintain overall site design and operations.  Monitor overall website brand, service and production information, images and navigation.
  • Lead overall management of the website to ensure that asset updates and additions are properly stated, appropriately linked and accurately portrayed, examples include blogs, newsletters, community programs, etc.
  • Develop, implement and manage website analytics.
  • Lead overall management of regional website sections ensuring information is kept correct and up to date.  Work with regional units to provide ideas for new postings and upgrades to their regional sites.
  • Act as the expert in the updating and use of the website for Griffith and assume responsibilities for leading training sessions to other targeted users globally.
  • Promote Griffith products and services through targeted public relations initiatives.
  • Create and deliver global and targeted local press releases, media relationship content, corporate newsletter content, social media content and other content based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with the communications team in implementing a social media strategy for the global Griffith organization and engage with regional partners, where directed, to contribute to social media efforts.
  • Optimize, maintain and manage overall appearance, structure and content of the Griffith global home page.
  • Lead in the development, coordination and execution of training programs for the Griffith portal to increase awareness and use of the system (e.g. mysite)

Skill Requirements:                 

  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to convey the Griffith brand message, company overview and details clearly and simply and in an interesting and persuasive style for different audiences and in different applications
  • Ability to interact effectively with global regional marketing & IT members, leadership members and global executive management
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute targeted initiatives and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in English.  Other languages spoken would be highly desirable.
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop and Web Management Software (SharePoint)
  • Ability to work independently and within budget
  • Current knowledge of electronic media outlets with understanding of social marketing/media
  • Ability to work with different ideas and perspectives and successfully manage and resolve differing opinions.


  • College degree - B.A. with emphasis in Marketing or Business Administration, Communication and/or Liberal Arts
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing, communications alternative position that has significant focus on communications.
  • Proven track record of creative contribution to marketing and/or communications activities
  • Experience in writing, editing and proofreading materials for online and written publications
  • Experience in preparing publications for print, including writing briefs, commissioning design, artwork, print, liaising with agencies
  • Proven ability to communicate and engage with a diverse range of people
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
