Personal Banker / Customer Service Rep / Sales - Part Time

Primary Job Function: To provide assistance and guidance to the membership concerning NEFCU products and services. Cross-sell Credit Union's products and services; responsible for representing the NEFCU in a positive and professional manner; provide all information with enthusiasm, professionalism and efficiency.  Additional responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain key relationships and business contacts within the community and targeted industry segments, and applying strategic initiatives to create opportunities for growth;
  • Achieve personal production goals by expanding existing relationships and acquiring new business, utilizing effective calling techniques, and educating members and non-members on all products and services.
  • Provide assistance to customers regarding internet banking products and e-services.
  • Effectively explain bank products and services to customers. Cross sell products and services when appropriate.
  • Open and process new accounts, including savings accounts, certificates, checking accounts, loans and related products and services.
  • Complete account inquiries, address changes, email changes, closing accounts and account maintenance requests directed by customers.
  • Reconcile all transactions on a daily basis – Miser system.
  • Assist with community outreach programs.
  • Comply with BSA and SAR requirements.
  • Responsible for properly maintaining customer information via computer and all follow-up paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Position Requirements
  • Minimum twelve months relevant experience in the financial industry or in a customer service field
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding monthly sales goals
  • Professional appearance coupled with an enthusiastic, assertive personality
  • Must be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Part Time:  19 hours/week including Fridays until 7:30 PM, Saturdays until 1:30 PM, and one other weekday (flex)
