Call Center Representative (Bilingual Spanish Preferred) - Full-Time 

Description

Primary Job Function:  To provide accurate information via the telephone and/or Internet regarding NEFCU's products, services and accounts at the request of the callers/members.  Provide all information with enthusiasm, professionalism and efficiency.

The candidate for this opportunity must possess the knowledge to confidently educate our members on NEFCU personal/business products and services; responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide assistance to customers regarding banking products and e-services
  • Responsible for answering customer inquiries; ability to effectively resolve customer issues with respect and empathy in a timely manner
  • Effectively explain bank products and services to customers. Cross sell products and services when appropriate 
  • Process transactions pertaining to savings accounts, term certificates, checking accounts, loans, and related products and services
  • Complete account inquiries, address changes, email changes, closing accounts and account maintenance requests directed by customers
  • Reconcile all transactions on a daily basis – Miser system
  • Responsible for properly maintaining customer information via computer and all follow-up paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.

 





 

 


 


 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience in a call center or customer service environment
  • Sales experience with the expectation of meeting/exceeding goals
  • Banking experience a plus
  • Professional telephone demeanor; excellent communication skills
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet is desirable
  • Bi-lingual a plus - English/Spanish
  • Part Time:  19 hours/week - Saturdays 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM required; other days/hours flex
  • Full Time:  40 hours/week - including Saturdays 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on an alternating basis
