TradeNet Publishing is currently seeking a motivated and hard-working Human Resources Assistant to join our growing team.

The primary responsibility of the Human Resources Assistant is to assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties in the following functional areas: HRIS, benefits, safety, administration and employment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • General HR related administrative duties, including preparation of correspondence, photocopying, fax transmission, etc.
  • Craft job descriptions and job advertisements, and strategically post openings to job boards both internally and externally.
  • Utilize web-based application tracking system to maintain candidate data.
  • Complete all drug screens and background checks for candidates and provide prompt feedback to managers.
  • Maintain HRIS database by inputting employee information such as personal data, attendance, performance review, training and other related information.
  • Maintain employee files and the HR filing system. 
  • Preparation of new hire paperwork and offer letters.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is accurate and complete before HRIS input.
  • Perform employment verifications.
  • Coordinate safety committee meetings.  Conduct and coordinate internal site inspections.
  • Serve as the record keeper of all safety related information.
  • Complete any additional HR projects as they become available.
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of human resources experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Proactive nature; proven ability/willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work in changing environment and ability to think critically.
  • Professional demeanor with ability to work with confidential, sensitive information, materials and issues with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
