Manager of Consultation, Training & Education

Job Summary:  This position provides to the community-at-large the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education, training programs and interventions that focus on AOD, mental health, harm reduction, peer education and other general health issues.   

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong and effective leadership in the development and implementation of programs and interventions that address student-related AOD issues, mental health education, and health education
  • Provide programs that include the best practices in education and prevention efforts, and intervention strategies
  • Enhance initiatives that focus on expanded peer education, and harm reduction
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services, educational programs, initiatives and interventions
  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen programs, enhance learning and improve internal systems
  • Organize events such as parenting classes, family workshops, and community meetings 
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for various events and activities
  • Research current health, mental health, and social issues and resources
  • Educate the general community and community systems about such issues and resources
  • Collaborate with other professionals and community resources to ensure delivery of effective behavioral health education outreach programs
  • Train and supervise groups in behavioral health education and prevention programs and services 
  • Participate in relevant conferences and seminars through attendance and provision of presentations
  • Monitor the implementation of ADA grant-funded services including grant applications and support
  • Maintains records within Crossroads’ and funding-organization standards
Position Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related human services field
  • 10 years of experience in training, education and consultative work
  • Knowledge and experience in prevention-funded services
  • Knowledge and experience in grant writing and user reports
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Shift Rotating Days and Evenings  
Education Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related human services field.
