AOD Counseling Supervisor

Job Summary:  This position provides clinical and administrative supervision and management of the AOD/IOP treatment program and its staff; and provides client direct service i.e. assessment, IOP groups, individual/family therapy, and case management as needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and/or provide for orientation of new AOD/IOP staff.
  • Closely monitor AOD/IOP quality improvement indicators, and implement OI initiatives, when indicated.
  • Use Corrective action plans, as needed, to assure for effective program operations
  • Implement program improvement and development initiatives, as needed
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to AOD/IOP staff including monitoring of work schedules, billable hours and quality/compliance issues
  • Provide oversight and coordination of ongoing professional development of supervisees
  • Provide assessment, IOP groups, individual/family counseling, and case management services
  • Provide leadership to staff   that promotes Crossroads mission and core values.
  • Develop and maintain community relationships that enhance and advance Crossroads’ standing in the community
  • Perform billable direct service according to Crossroads standards
  • Maintain 90% QA compliance
  • Maintain clinical records within Crossroads’ standards
  • Participate in team meetings, work groups, task forces or other general efforts that add value to the success of Crossroads
  • Participate in grant writing and fund – raising initiatives
  • Perform additional activities as assigned by supervisor
Position Requirements
  • Master’s degree and licensed in Ohio as PC or LSW required; PCC or LISW preferred; Certification or licensure by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.
  • Experience in providing treatment to individuals with substance abuse and dependency; experience in working with substance abusing youth.
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Supervisory, organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Work on a team in a fast paced, high stress environment
  • Strong application of professional behavior and ethics
  • Develops, communicates and identifies with Crossroads’ Mission and contributes to a strategy of continuous improvement

Education Requirements Master's degree  
Licensure Requirements Licensed in Ohio as PC or LSW required; PCC or LISW preferred; Certification or licensure by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.
