Assistant Teacher

This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in the classroom activities associated with the education of the children enrolled in the Kreative Learning Program.

This will be accomplished through the following:

  • Supervision of early drop off children, distribution of daily paperwork into individual lockers, assist teacher with classroom activities, prepare copies and supplies for art projects as directed. 
  • Assist children with class parties.
  • Answer in-coming telephone calls and direct appropriately.
  • Record tuition payments, prepare and file receipts.
  • Prepare late notices for Director’s signature.
  • Empty trash and clean classroom and restroom after each class.
  • Assist in substitution of hours when need arises.
  • Prepares reports as required or instructed by supervisor.
  • Attend training/seminars to stay current on ODJFS mandated training.
Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years experience working with children

Skill Set:              

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Operate a computer in regards to Microsoft Office and agency database system
