Regional Trainer - Now Hiring 

Description

Responsible for the training of foster parents, adoptive parents, and staff for our North West and Central Ohio areas. This will include our divisions located in Cleveland, Canton and Columbus.

This will be accomplished through the following:

  • Gather input from QI activities, training feedback, performance evaluations, mentor feedback, FP training needs tools and evaluations, etc. to assess training needs of staff and foster parents. Search, evaluate, and recommend curricula for training, as well as coordinate and develop curricula and materials according to identified training needs.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff and foster parents in classroom setting and/or by using different media such as video conferencing, GoToMeeting, etc. Training should be provided based on training plans created by the division/state and/or as requested to assist with performance improvement of staff or foster parents.
  • Provide and oversee CPI training for region. Coordinate providing CEU’s for trainings, as applicable, with the training dept.
  • Use the centralized training database system to record each training event. For all sessions, participant sign in sheets and evaluations must be collected. Communicate with supervisor and divisions/states on the reception and effectiveness of the training.
 
Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies
  • Master's degree in said disciplines is preferred

Licensure Requirements:

  • Ohio Adoption Assessor certification is required
  • A LSW or LPC is preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in the field working with children, adolescents and families is required

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated skill of writing treatment plans, case notes, etc.
  • Operate a computer in regards to Microsoft Office and agency database system
