Human Resources Assistant - Now Hiring 


Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the hiring process from submitting advertisements to screening applications and sending them to the supervisor for review. Reviews the front end of payroll and submits to GP for finance to process.

This is accomplished through the following:

  • Prepare and run advertisements through the appropriate and effective channels. This is to be accomplished by working directly with the supervisor regarding their advertising needs and making appropriate suggestions.
  • Maintain the open position listing on the on-line application system. Reviewing the applicant responses daily to determine initial qualifications and requesting further information if candidate is viable. This may require contacting the candidate to verify qualifications and/or salary requirements. Present qualified candidates to the appropriate supervisor for review.
  • Remain in contact with all supervisors with open positions until a candidate has been selected and accepted an offer.
  • Track and monitor the time keeping records for submittal to payroll on a bi-weekly basis. This includes assuring that all hours are submitted timely, reviewed for accuracy, and summarized into appropriate reports for our records.
  • Set up new hire employees in the time keeping system with a username and password, schedule, accruals, and give the direct supervisor access to view time card.
  • Data entry in the company database related to payroll. This includes taxes (local, state, and federal), direct deposit information, and benefit deductions. Remove separated employees once payroll has been processed by finance.
Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Three years of demonstrated human resource experience is required if no degree.

Skill Set:

  • Use resolution skills to demonstrate effective problem solving
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload
  • Operate a computer with Microsoft Office, other software, and agency databases
