Off-Premise Sales Representative- NAB

  1. Effectively sell, rotate and merchandise the Columbia Distributing portfolio in all assigned accounts.
  2. Accomplish sales and distribution goals by executing the monthly, quarterly and annual business objectives and company initiatives.
  3. Manage inventory expenses to company policy.
  4. Interact respectfully and maintain dialog with inter-company departments, suppliers and customers.
  5. Have a thorough knowledge of all decision makers in each account.
  6. Maintain a high level of industry knowledge: beer, non-alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share, etc.
  7. Utilize Columbia University for Professional Education (CUPE) courses to improve effectiveness.
  8. Monitor competitive activity and communicate strategies.
  9. Create reset opportunities and develop programs appropriate to customer base.
  10. Conduct promotions in assigned accounts as required.
  11. Sell required product/brand features (i.e. “Beer of the Month”, “Happy Hour”).
  12. Minimum visibility in assigned accounts must be equal to or greater than competition.
  13. Maintain appropriate themed programs to meet supplier and company standards.
  14. Increase net core brand distribution over baseline throughout the year.
  15. Submit all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense report, mileage log, etc. by the required due date.
  16. Minimum MVP standards in eighty percent (80%) of accounts surveyed.
  17. Above MVP standards in twenty percent (20%) of accounts surveyed.
  18. Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
  19. Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.
  20. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company’s Core Values at all times.
Position Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Education/Training:  Bachelor’s degree; High School diploma or GED required

Licenses/Certifications:  Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required; Sales Fundamental (which includes Certified Sales Professional-CSP training and certification) required upon hiring

Experience:  Minimum two (2) year previous sales experience in beverage industry

Knowledge/Skill:  General knowledge of industry products; Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Bilingual preferred; Effective organizational and time management skills; Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers


Physical Requirements:

1.  Lift, carry, push, pull up to 165 lbs.

2.  Use arms, wrists, hands, grasp

3.  Must be proficient in the use of industry tools including hand truck, six wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutter, etc.
