General Position Summary

Responsible for managing the insurance accounts recievables post claims processing to include edits, rejections, and denials.  Accurate claims submission with payee guidelines, timely account follow up and assistance with denial management to ensure the financial viability of the urgent care clinic locations.  Opportunities available in Pittsburgh or Morgantown.

Major Responsibilities

1.  Responsible for analyzing data flow between systems and impact to the Revenue Cycle, must drive continuous quality improvement

2.  Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple systems, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from

      low-level information to a general understanding, and determine underlying cause/effect.
 

3.  Analysis of payor data, coding information, payment data though reporting tools.  Ability to identify trends and provide potential solutions for the

     Revenue Cycle and platform. Work collaboratively with other MedExpress departments such as Contracting, Operations and Compliance to ensure

     optimal outcomes

4.  Knowledge of  insurance AR, payor and patient refund process, coding, collection process and contracting specific to MedExpress

5.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject

     matter experts
 

6.  Other duties as assigned.

 

 
Position Requirements

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

1.  Solid knowledge of the revenue cycle process.

2.   Experience working with EMR, Revenue Cycle software and reporting tools, 3-5 years preferred.

3.  Knowledge of  CPT and ICD codes, and HIPAA strongly preferred.

3.  Ability to understand and apply knowledge of insurance contracts and coding to Revenue Cycle data.

4.  Strong organizational  skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

6.  Ability to collaboratively work with other departments across the MedExpress platform.

7.  Experience identifying trends and changes in data related to workflow process and technology.

 

 

Working Conditions

Non-Center Based.  Requires:   the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping) and travel to Centers (if so, the noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens).
