Position Summary:

The credentialing coordinator will play a key role as liaison between internal and external parties to facilitate the credentialing process of all incoming MedExpress providers.  This role will ensure the credentialing process is completed in a timely manner through vendor oversight, communication with providers and payors

Major Responsibilities:

  • Execute against outlined processes and audits to ensure MedExpress providers are compliant with all rules and regulations pertaining to licensing, required certifications, payor requirements, and state medical rules and regulations.
  • Building of and execution on credentialing packets as outlined by Payor Contracting. Oversight of third party credentialing vendor to ensure packets are consistent and process is followed effecitently and effectivley on a daily basis.
  • Key role of onboarder for assigned area to deliver consistent communication to providers throughout the credentialing process. Onboarder role involves communication of milestones to provider as well as key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Detail oriented approach to maintaining electronic provider files, delivering on provider applications in a timely manor, and relationship buildling with key payor representatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in Healthcare credentialing or related role preferred. Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize all on-going intiatives. Highly detail orientated approach to job fuctions required.
• Understanding of credentialing process, state rules and regulations strongly preferred.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to speak at all levels including providers and executive stakeholders to provide status updates necessary.
• Self-starter who can function in task oriented space preferred.


Working Conditions:
Non-center based.  Requires: the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), travel to centers (if so, noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens).
