Home Care Supervisor

Job Summary

 

Performs various supervisory activities for Supervision of companion/sitters, scheduling of client care, maintenance of client records and employee records, office billing and payroll responsibilities and other office coordination duties.

 

Essential Functions

 

-Answers telephone, take inquiries or messages using good telephone technique.

-Helps maintain client records for the Agency to ensure compliance with record requirements.

-Maintains full employee personnel records for the Agency ensuring compliance with renewal of documentation requirements, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation documentation and other legal or regulatory requirements.

-Helps maintain various office records; i.e., insurance and financial client information, etc.

-Maintains and tracks needed supplies.

-Prepares billing packets, including all forms and appropriate attachments as required by payors.

-Assigns client numbers to new client cases.

-Performs payroll duties including verifying and/or computing of time sheets for payroll.

-Schedules client cases with appropriate field employees, making all follow through calls necessary to produce an effective, smooth flowing schedule.

-Assists with field employee hiring orientations, in-services, disciplinary actions, etc.

-Implements field employee safety programs.

-Attends appropriate office meetings.

-Performs on-call coordinator duties as needed.

-May be required to assess new client referrals for homecare.

-May be required to supervise companions on the job every 122 days or as often as needed.

 
Position Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Availability:

 

-High school graduate or equivalent with 2 years of business experience.

-Skills in basic bookkeeping, basic computer skills, and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal relations abilities.

-Good telephone skills.

-Knowledge of common medical terminology.

-Experience with home health preferred.

-Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment.

-Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

-Be available as required for on-call duty outside of normal office hours.

Additional (non-essential) Functions:

-Other general office and clerical functions.

-Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Working Conditions/Environment:
-Primary worksite is in the office.
