Right at Home is an in-home care and assistance company. We provide care to adults with short and long term disabilities. The office staff is small. Our workforce is comprised mainly of in-home aides that work in the field. We are looking for an administrative assistant to work with the staffing coordinator in keeping track of our field staff and to assist the two owners with a variety of day to day activities. The position requires on-call availability at least one week/one weekend per month.

The administrative assistant/scheduler MUST be proficient in using a computer. This office uses a scheduling software program extensively. The program is easily teachable to someone confident in their use of a Windows based computer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answering telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member
  • Handling inquiries for new business
  • Greeting new caregiver applicants and assisting with orientation process
  • Creating and modifying documents using the Microsoft Office Suite primarily MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Performing general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Maintaining paper and electronic files
  • Tracking weekly office metrics including number of applicants, inquiry calls received
  • Maintaining all office supplies and inventory
  • Monitoring caregiver clock-in during the workday
  • Working on-call to monitor schedule one week per month including weeknight and weekend - separate compensation
  • Assisting with daily scheduling of caregivers and confirmation of existing schedules
 
Position Requirements

FEATURES OF IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Excellent communicator with ability to operate a multi-line phone system
  • Detail oriented with ability to organize office and find better and less expensive ways to make things work
  • Flexible schedule to work when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and identify resolutions to new situations
  • Has excellent reading, writing and verbal skills are required.
  • Geographically knowledgeable about our coverage area primarily Durham and Orange Counties


This is a part-time position. Hours may change according to business needs. Applicant should be available to substitute occasionally for full-time staffing coordinator if needed. Office is located in Hillsborough, NC.
