Description

Morpho Detection Inc (MDI) in our Wilmington, MA facility invites applicants for an internship chemist position in the department of Research and Development, designing, developing, and testing analytical instruments. For this position, the research will focus on Ion Mobility Spectrometry, Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and chemical sensors.

The salary will be based according to the applicant’s qualification. This position is for a six months period and may be renewed depending on funding availability.

Applicants should be prepared to supply a detailed curriculum vitae, and at least two (2) professional references, should they meet the qualifications for the role and be chosen to interview at our Wilmington, MA facility

 
Position Requirements
  • The successful candidate must be in process of obtaining or holds a BS or equivalent in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Must have superior laboratory skills and demonstrated experience in computer assisted data analysis and interpretatio.
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold a Permanent Residence Card

 

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Theoretical and practical experience in analytical chemistry;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills;
  • Analytical instrumentation experience;
  • Experience in developing computer code using Matlab or similar programs;

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Wilmington, MA
