Responsible for business processes and controls necessary to comply with US Government regulations and procedures related to cost accounting, which include:

·        Prepare forward pricing rate proposals, incurred cost submissions, and cost impacts resulting from accounting changes.

·        Plan, execute, and report internal audits of travel, timekeeping compliance, and unallowable costs.

·        Establish and monitor processes and controls necessary to comply with all government regulations and procedures related to business cost practices

·        Interpret and maintain current knowledge of all government cost regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations, Truth in Negotiations Act, Service Contract Act, et al) and cost accounting standards (CAS). Ensure that MDI’s accounting routines and cost practices that affect government business meet all standards of compliance for contract cost and pricing and related financial reporting.

·        Maintain effective and constructive relationships with government customers and representatives.

·        Work closely with government contracts, proposals and billing organizations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Also work with and mentor broader Finance organization to ensure general understanding of government requirement and need for compliance.

·        Provide government accounting support to other affiliated businesses and entities as required. Interface with MDI Corporate and other MDI businesses on issues of government accounting.

·        Experience in implementing compliance programs including developing policies and procedures regarding DCAA system audits, overall allowability and allowability governance.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited college/university.
  • Experience working for a Defense or Government Contractor doing forward pricing, incurred cost and other government submittals

             Must have at least 3 years of finance experience
