Fanscape's online influencer marketing experts have in-depth understanding of niche audiences and consumer behaviors across the Web, providing highly measurable, earned media strategies for major corporations within our business units.

Being a Fanscape Business Development Intern:

The ideal candidate is a self-proclaimed internet addict – the more time you spend on the web, the better! But you are also very interested in and knowledgeable about how brands and companies are using social media. We especially welcome those with knowledge of social networking sites, blogs, viral videos, social bookmarking and other Web 3.0 applications (particularly the cutting-edge ones we haven't heard of yet) and new business models as applied to the internet. You should also be a search engine master, who often revels in the joy of a well-executed Google search.

The Business Development Intern will assist the Business Development team with various pitching, presentation and proposal needs including potential client research, strategizing, and reviewing proposals to help secure new business and leads for Fanscape. You will play a vital role in assisting the Business Development Team to secure new business while running as smoothly and as organized as possible. The perfect candidate will be very familiar with PowerPoint and have very strong written and verbal skills.

Fanscape is dedicated to a professional and enriching internship program. We pride ourselves on one-to-one interaction, individual intern projects and a fun and stimulating work environment. Internships are unpaid, but we happily offer college or post-graduate course credit for your time here. Applicants should be willing to commit at least 15-18 hours per week at our downtown Dallas office. We will do our best to create hours that accommodate your class schedule. We are currently recruiting for our Fall Internship program which lasts through mid-December.

Position Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution (MBA candidates strongly preferred)
  • A major in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • A passion for all things internet!
  • You must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to strong fluency with PowerPoint
  • Fluency with the rest of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook; beginner knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and HTML is helpful but not required
  • Experience on popular websites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace and Foursquare; and/or with mobile applications, such as SMS, mobile web and media, etc.
  • Must do well under pressure and be very dependable as well as accountable
  • Must follow instructions well. Able to multi-task. Keeping deadlines a must
  • Skilled in online research
  • Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to learn
  • A strong interest in Business Development, marketing and/or social media.
