Account Director with Hispanic Marketing Expertise

Cultur8 is a multicultural next-gen promotional marketing agency that specializes in experiential, social, digital, mobile, sports, shopper, entertainment and cause marketing.  As a joint venture between Dieste and The Marketing Arm it is preparing its official agency launch in 2013.  We have an immediate need for an Account Director to join our telecommunications provider account service team!!!

This Account Director will lead a dynamic team of Activation Managers and Account Coordinators that are dedicated to a large telecommunications client.

In this role you’ll lead the team to develop big, bold promotions, experiential and event ideas that are relevant and authentic to Hispanic consumers.  The client has already developed a strong presence in the Hispanic consumer marketplace.  Your role is to solidify this position and grow the business with Hispanic consumers.


  • Lead annual strategic planning process for telecom client
  • Lead team in creative ideations to develop bold ideas for the client
  • Lead the development of strategic solutions (retail promotions, event mktg, sponsorship activation and appropriate media support) to build brand equity and deliver ROI for the client
  • Develop and present activation plans and budgets to client


  • Outstanding organizational, leadership and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate at senior levels within client organization – up to Vice President level
  • Candidate should be able to anticipate and solve problems, and provide positive conflict resolution
  • Candidate must be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet stringent deadlines with a “do what it takes” attitude
  • Ability to identify measurable objectives and analyze individual program elements
  • Ability to manage, motivate and lead teams, vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to successfully delegate while retaining accountability for results
  • Strong presentation skills – ability to develop compelling PowerPoint presentations and present them with confidence
Position Requirements
  • MUST have experience managing promotions including sweepstakes and contests
  • MUST have minimum 5 years account management related experience with Hispanic market (client, agency or property side)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Experience managing up to 6 direct reports and team of 20+ event staff
  • Experience managing large-scale events (local and national) including permits & legal requirements
  • Client service and/or Hospitality experience – able to easily host VIPs, Client executives, etc.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
